Quick trade on NEw years Eve

31st Dec 2013

H1 Long AUX  198.77. AUX down today below the pivot  18 pips.  Strong positive divergence  and good support at 1978 gave made me take this trade. SL 4 pips below 1978 , 17 pips. TP  below swing high on M1, 20 pips. Trade went the wrong way 12 ppis then came back up. Given that it is new years eve,  that market is bearish and the set up not great, I took  1.3 pips when it came up. If goes up further a short trade would probably be the better option

My First Trade in the longer time frames - success!

30 Dec 2013
Trade Logic:
Short H4 Divergence and general weakness I all charts. SL 15, spread above sup 2,  TP 20, spread above sup 3 .
Slight problem that the trade was just above, 1206. 18 also in all time frames market oversold. However had just rallied in H4 and AUX is really weak right now so a further slide seems a good bet

Result:
Slid through 1206 within minutes, but bounced 50 cents down and went up to near R2 (12 pips) Then went down, this time 1206 offered only slight resistance and price plunged to just below R3, taking my stop with it

Continuing to Study and first trades

Well, I've read and listened to the VDO course. Not that long really ,but it is quite condensed so I will need go over it many times to really 'program' it into my mind so that when I look at the charts I see it all quite naturally. Glad I have some experience as for me personally I would have found it tough as a beginner, as it is my eyes glaze and my brain hurts after awhile, but this is problem I have with all technical analysis. Still, I know I must learn and learn I will!
No real surprises or trading 'secrets', just the same kind of stuff you can find lots of places, even for free. However, what I paying for is the exact 'recipe' not the ingredients and good 'recipes' are never free. So ultimately whether it is worth the money is something that I won;t know until I have learnt it well and traded for a while. So, I took a couple of tentative paper scalps on the M1, just micros lots. I made the trades based on Andrew's candles and and stochastic system . It was a pretty lousy trading day, so I took profit manually as soon as it came up, though I did set SL and TP values. Whether I really followed the rules properly on these trade I am not sure, but nevertheless it is a start and 5 + plus pips is worth having!

Getting started with Andrew

Hello Everybody,
Contacted Andrew on the 19th Dec 2013, he had Christmas special offer, but I didn't have my cash ready in time. He was good enough to extent the offer indefinitely for me -started the course on the 22nd.
Why Andrew? Well he get's about best reviews of anyone and I did check a good few obscure forums. There are detractors, but not many and most haven't actually taken the course, just suspicious of the hype, which is fair enough, but doesn't really tell you much. Those who had problem with the course, didn't seem relevant to my situation. So I decided to go for it!
I have been trading on and off for a year or so, lost more than I earned, but not that much, so I figure if I can swing the figures just a bit my way I will be fine.

Registration was easy, and I got some good templates with lots of useful looking indicators.
Started the course, first part was really basic money management, skimmed through, very little I didn't know, but useful for newbie.
Next candle sticks. I never manage to use candles predictions, mainly because there are just too many systems around, all much the same but all a little bit different, so I gave up with them. Andrews candle analysis is to follow with not too many patterns to learn and his templates includes an different colored arrow marking the patterns, so no need tired your eyes out looking for patterns.

Will post more as happens

How to get proof of address in Thailand

How to get proof of address in Thailand

Banks here don't send out statements and as a foreigner you cannot open utility accounts in your own name. The cheapest and easiest way to get a proof of address is to go your branch and ask them to write a letter confirming that you are the holder of the account and your address. I got this done for 100 baht at Kasikorn bank, it took about 15 minutes which is much cheaper and easier than getting a notary to do it.
I will be adding to this post as I learn more
